Heacham Infant and Nursery School secretary poses as the Queen, May 2012 – Lynn News Memory Lane




Heacham Infant and Nursery School secretary, Karen Hilliard, poses as the Queen for budding artists, from left, Willow Deane, Jessica Humphries, Elizabeth England, Aaron Guy, Rosie Castleton and Jack Schofield.

This was in May 2012 when the school held a dedicated day with a Jubilee theme – ahead of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

Children studied royal portraits, made crown jewel mobiles, decorated trees with red, white and blue yarn and dressed in regal costume.

The school had just been awarded Artsmark Gold, the highest award given out by the Arts Council England, for its work in celebrating and developing quality arts education.
