Pupils from King's Lynn's Highgate and Docking schools roll up for funfair at Lynn Museum in 2001





These pupils from Lynn’s Highgate School and Docking were among the 300 children rolling up for all the fun of the fair at Lynn Museum.

Held over three days in March 2001, the event featured music and craft workshops and entertainment for children aged four to seven.

They had fun making musical percussion instruments as well as hobbyhorses in the style of fairground gallopers.

And they were entertained by Rollo the Clown, who is pictured with his over-sized comb helping one youngster get his hair done.

Rollo also helped the children play traditional fairground games such as hoopla, quoits and hook-the-duck.
