2013: It was a chilly April day for this photo-call at Hunstanton, where Ian and Jane Wallis had to wrap up warm when promoting their home-made Italian ice cream sold from The Pavilion on the green. In the centre is their daughter Lily Wallis (14).
April 2013: Malcolm Catlin outside the newly opened Marriott’s Warehouse restaurant on Lynn’s South Quay. Malcolm and Andrew Hornigold had transformed the former Green Quay into a modern dining room and were delighted with its success on the opening weekend.
April 2013: Paul Coston who ran the Rose and Crown pub in Hilgay with his wife Rebecca, turned up the heat by calling on customers to spice up their lives with the challenge of eating seven hot wings in just seven minutes. It was all in aid of Parkinsons UK.
April 2013: Nicola and Peter Strong, the new licensees at the Wildfowler pub on Gayton Road, Lynn, preparing for the re-opening of the venue after a £200,000 makeover.
April 2015: Lynn News readers voted the River Lane Fish Bar, in Gaywood, as West Norfolk’s top chippy. Celebrating are, from left, Caroline Towler, Julian Trudgill and the owner John Redman.
April 2015: A business that began as a small café supporting the main Legge menswear and ladies’ fashion shop in Hunstanton High Street, launched its enlarged premises. Pictured is the manager Daniel Fleming, left, with his team: Tony Bishopp, John and Samantha Pesci.
April 2015: Conservative parliamentary candidate Henry Bellingham (centre) visited Adcocks Refrigeration in Lynn to see the work being carried out at the company’s training centre. He is joined by Joe Wright (training officer), Phillip Prior (chairman), Stuart Smith (service office manager) and David Smith (service manager).
April 2015: The Coach and Horses pub at Dersingham was named as pub of the year by West Norfolk’s branch of the Campaign for Real Ale. April 2018: Norfolk Chamber of Commerce pledged to increase its support for businesses in the west of the county as part of its new mission. CEO of the chamber, Chris Sargisson (pictured far right) revealed the organisation’s new vision and values at the Connecting Businesses in West Norfolk event held at Lynn Town Hall.
April 2018: The owners of the popular family music shop, Lewks, in Wales Court, Downham, revealed their plans to close after 45 years in business. The announcement came only days after the staff enjoyed their busiest ever annual Record Store Day.
