QEH staff’s great Mo-mentum
Hair today, gone to-Mo-rrow: Moustaches carefully maintained by these team members in the maintenance department at Lynn’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital were gradually being shaved off, marking the end of the Movember initiative in 2011 – raising funds and awareness for men’s health.
Some of the hospital workers shaved off their facial hair on December 1 , while others were debating whether to keep them. Picture reference MLNF-11AM12002.

All Our Yesterdays shows pictures from 2011 and events that took place in December.
December 2011: Lynn’s 900-year-old St Margaret’s Church received its new title of King’s Lynn Minster during a special ceremony held at the Mayor’s Parlour in Lynn Town Hall. Our picture shows the historic moment when Borough Mayor Colin Sampson and the Bishop of Norwich, the Rt Rev Graham James, signed copies of the declaration of agreement. Afterwards there was a packed congregation for a festive carol service at the Minster. MLNF-11AM12205
December 2011: The Duchess of Cambridge is pictured arriving for the traditional Christmas Day church service in Sandringham. The Duchess was the centre of attraction for a record crowd of around 3,000 as it was her first Christmas as part of the royal family following her marriage to Prince William in April. MLNF-11PT12241
December 2011: A last-minute Lottery grant came to the rescue of the One-to-One charity in Lynn which was facing closure – much to the delight of staff and a band of 20 dedicated volunteers.
The £330,000 award, spread over five years, meant the group could continue helping people with mental health, social and emotional problems across West Norfolk. Celebrating the cheque are, from left, Trish Benson (trust member), Hannah Cooper (project co-ordinator), Nell Steele (trust chairman), Diana Redman (trust member) and Christine Thomas (administrator). December 2010: This quartet below attracted a lot of attention at the third annual Santa run for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices which was held in Lynn town centre – in bitterly cold weather. MLNF-10AF12113
