Downham Preparatory School teacher prepared to drive sports stars around during London 2012 Olympics

In our weekly Memory Lane Schooldays feature, we look back at when a school teacher was preparing for an Olympic volunteering venture…

Gill Hart, a teacher at Downham Preparatory School, was all set to drive some of the world’s best sportsmen and women around the capital during the London Olympics, when this Lynn News picture was taken in July 2012.

She is joined by torch bearer Frances Rayner (left), who had carried the Olympic torch during its journey between Norwich and Ipswich earlier in the month, and some of the Preparatory School pupils.
