Up to 14 new jobs could be created if an empty Lynn store becomes a coffee shop.

A Starbucks store could be opening up in the former Dorothy Perkins site on the High Street in the autumn.

A planning application has been lodged with West Norfolk Council by 23.5 Degrees, a Southampton-based firm, which is a franchise of Starbucks.

A Starbucks spokesman said: “23.5 Degrees Limited is considering opening a Starbucks Coffee Shop in Lynn.

“This is in the early stages at present but we are excited by this opportunity in Lynn to add to our growing portfolio of Starbucks stores.

“At this stage, our plan is to open in the autumn of 2015 with the potential to create approximately 14 new jobs.”

An internal refit for the store is planned.
