Teegan Brabant appears in King’s Lynn court charged with causing death by dangerous driving in Norfolk

A 21-year-old is to appear in court next month charged with causing death by dangerous driving.

Teegan Brabant, of Litcham Road in Mileham – between Swaffham and Fakenham – appeared for his first hearing at Lynn Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.

He has been charged with causing the death of Mariana Faustino-Valente by dangerous driving on the B1110 Dereham Road North at Elmham.

The offence is alleged to have been committed on September 17 last year. Mariana Faustino-Valente was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital with serious injuries but died two days later.

Brabant is also accused of causing bodily harm to another person by furious driving on that date.

Lynn magistrates sent the case straight to Norwich Crown Court, and Brabant will appear there for a plea and trial preparation hearing on March 21.
