Harvey Shorten, who is in custody, admits having cannabis in Swaffham
A 23-year-old who is in custody on other matters has admitted having cannabis on him.
Harvey Shorten, of no fixed address, appeared virtually at Lynn Magistrates’ Court on Thursday where he pleaded guilty to having the Class B drug in Swaffham.
Prosecutor Qamar Iqbal explained that on October 9, officers arrested Shorten on an unrelated matter and was found he was carrying 5.7g of cannabis.
Shorten remains in custody, and is due to be sentenced at Norwich Magistrates’ Court on November 23 for an assault.
Magistrates in Lynn decided not to sentence Shorten, but instead to send the matter to be dealt with in Norwich along with the other matters.
