An anniversary flower festival to celebrate Pott Row Methodist Church’s 140th birthday raised £312 for the up keep and general maintenance.
The theme of the festival was birthday’s and anniversaries with some 13 flower arrangements on display.
Visitors enjoyed teas, coffees and cakes on their arrival at the venue.
Methodist church steward Stephen Watts, one of the helpers during the three-day festival, said: “It went really, really well.
“There was a lovely feeling in the church and everyone who came along stayed for a considerable time, which was nice.
“We don’t do this every year, normally every three years we will host a flower supper festival.”
The methodist church will continue with its fundraising exploits later this year when it holds its Christmas tree festival during the first week of December.
