Pupils at Holy Cross Church of England Primary School will be taking part in the 10th anniversary of the Daily Mile on Thursday.

Over the past 10 years, the daily mile has evolved but the principle remains the same, to improve the physical, social, emotional and mental health and wellbeing of children regardless of their age, ability or personal circumstances.

To celebrate, the school has been given commemorative T-shirts by the daily mile for the children to wear.

The Daily Mile is a fully-inclusive, free and simple initiative which improves the physical and mental health of children.

It is a social activity where the children run or jog, at their own pace, for 15 minutes every day and it improves focus in the classroom.
