Pensions not kept pace with King's Lynn and West Norfolk council tax rise

Over a period of years, council tax in Norfolk has doubled.

A band D house was £758 a year, but now it’s £1,516.

Although council tax has doubled, council spending per person has only gone up by 50 per cent, up from £1,127 to £1,686 in the same period. This reflects the switch in council funding by central government which has increased the burden on council tax payers.
