LEARN MORELike the rest of the UK, West Norfolk woke up this morning to a strange new world where much ordinary travel was effectively banned.
This was the scene on the A47 dual carriageway between Wisbech and Lynn at 8.30am captured by photographer Adam Fairbrother from a bridge over the road. The usually packed lanes are deserted as people heeded the call by Prime Minister Boris Johnson last night to stay at home.
Only key workers should be travelling he said and public gatherings of more than two people are banned.
It was a similar scene in Swaffham as the below pictures, sent in by Christine Dye testify.
She said: "Not a car in sight or sound when we walked the dog."
We would love to see your pictures too to make a record of this extraordinary time. But remember stay safe and heed the advice issued to keep social distancing. Send photographs to newsdesk@lynnnews.co.uk
