A47 to remain closed for several more hours after crash, says Norfolk Police

The A47 is likely to remain closed for several more hours following a crash earlier today, police say.

Emergency units, including an air ambulance and several fire engines, were called to the incident at Scarning, which involved a car and a lorry, shortly before 8.45am today.

The road has been closed for much of the day, with traffic diverted via the A1065 at Swaffham and the A11.

No details of any casualties have so far been released.

However, the Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service said its crews did cut people from the vehicles involved.
