The film, which is being shot at a nearby airbase, is the sequel to the critically acclaimed Souvenir 1, which enjoyed considerable success at the Sundance Film Festival and will be released in August of this year.

Producer Luke Schiller told the Lynn News: "We were able to get the money to shoot the sequel because the first film did so well."

When asked the inevitable question "Why Lynn?" Luke responded: "It's a great location and it's a good opportunity to get out of London and tap into local talent."

The film, which touches on dark subjects such as toxic love and addiction is set 30 years ago, and follows the journey of a young female film student.
