North Wootton Academy pupils presented with commemorative coins

Pupils from North Wootton Academy have been presented with commemorative coins as part of the celebrations of the Coronation of King Charles.

West Norfolk Council commissioned the minting of a special coin to mark the occasion and had copies made so that every primary school child in the borough could have one.

Mayor Margaret Wilkinson has made many of the presentations but, with so many schools, asked other councillors to help too.

Woottons councillor Richard Coates and his wife Geraldine presented more than 300 coins at North Wootton and Cllr Coates said: “The children were all totally delightful and very polite. I think the Borough's future is going to be in good hands with children brought up and educated to such a good standard as these are.”
