Narford Hall near Swaffham to host Cloud Nine Glamping site during summer

A new glamping site offering a range of accommodation styles as well as numerous family activities is due to be in operation in the grounds of Narford Hall, near Swaffham, this summer.

Cloud Nine Glamping is run by a team of parents who have over 20 years experience organising festivals and events in the UK. After a fully booked launch in Dorset in August 2020, they have decided to bring a new campsite to Norfolk this year.

Due to Covid-19, social distancing measures will be in place at all times and tents, which each have a private portaloo, are intended for people who usually live together in the same household.

Narford Hall has acres of woodland and a private lake which was once use to test tanks for D-Day in the Second World War.

Accommodation will include one or two-bedroom cotton canvas bell tents, Nordic double tipis, safari tents or even vintage airstream caravans, which come equipped with en-suite facilities, flat-screen TV, heating and air conditioning.

All the accommodation will be generously spaced out so that families can have plenty of room to relax without fear of disturbing anyone else.

Activities lined up are designed to provide plenty of adventures for children plus some relaxing downtime experiences for adults, who can join a Wellness Sanctuary offering spa treatments, wood-fired hot tubs, gong baths and massages. Gin-tasting sessions are also planned.

Supervised kayaking and paddleboarding sessions will be held on the lake set in the heart of the estate.

Other highlights are bush craft sessions all about fire-building, campfire cooking and toasting marshmallows.

There's also a "silent disco" where headphones will work across the whole campsite, so people can dance near the DJs or have a private party back at their own accommodation. There will be three channels of music offering children’s songs, party tunes and 90s rave music.

Craft workshops cover creative art as well as pottery painting opportunities on novelty plaster shapes.

In addition there will be family quizzes and bingo, children's parties, workshops, trampolines, a sports day, yoga sessions, archery and wild running.

A family creche run by registered childminders will be available daily for children aged five and under.

There will also be an evening baby sitting service when a Cloud Nine sitter will look after children at tents. This is for a minimum of two hours and will allow adults to off for a meal or a drink.
