After a long winter wait for our local sides the 2015 Norfolk Cricket Alliance campaign begins tomorrow, with Premier Division champions Downham Town visiting Swardeston A and runners-up Fakenham facing a trip to Brooke.

Newly-promoted to the Premier Division Stow travel to Ashmanhaugh and Barton Wanderers.

In Division One, North Runcton entertain Topcroft.

Fakenham A are also in action this weekend; they host Hethersett & Tas Valley in Division Three, while North Runcton A go to Sprowston A and Downham A welcome Vauxhall Mallards A.

In Division Four Stow A welcome Old Catton, Dersingham start the season away at Mundford and Narborough are at home to Winterton.

Bircham have a home game against Dereham A for their opening Division Six fixture.

The NCA announced last week that independent Norfolk family opticians Dipple & Conway, whose branches include Swaffham, have agreed to continue their sponsorship for the forthcoming season.

Dipple & Conway’s decision to continue the partnership has delighted the management committee.

Peter Thomas, chairman of the Alliance, said: “Running an organisation like ours, with 68 adult teams and 108 youth teams, is very costly, so Dipple & Conway’s help is very welcome indeed.”

n The West Norfolk League also begins tomorrow.
