Appeal for witnesses after £27,000 worth of copper cables stolen from field near A47 in Necton
Police are searching for witnesses after tens of thousands of pounds worth of copper cables were stolen last week.
Officers say the cables were taken from a field beside the A47 at Necton, on the Swaffham side of the Asda Garage, on Wednesday, April 30.
It is believed that the culprits cut £27,000 worth just after 6pm, then returned later in the night between 8pm and 8am the next morning to remove them from the ground.
Anyone who may have seen the incident or has dashcam footage from around 6.10pm to 6.15pm on April 30, or overnight showing vehicles within the field, is being asked to get in touch with Norfolk Police.
