Amateur sailors Push the Boat Out on Saddlebow
The Ouse Amateur Sailing Club held a Push the Boat Out session at Saddlebow on Sunday to give newcomers a chance to try out sailing.
The sailing session was open to anyone between ages seven and 77 who was either a newbie, former or experienced sailor.
Sailing secretary Sue Pogmore said: "The club welcomed visitors aged from seven to 77, all of whom were able to spend time in the club's varied dinghies, with volunteer
members on board togive them a taste of the sport.
"The club was blessed with beautiful sunshine and blue skies all afternoon.
"Some of the participants were returning to sailing after a break, and were soon able to sail on their own after a confidence restoring trip with an experienced sailor.
"Members were kept busy getting the visitors on and off the water, and everyone was able to spend enough time afloat to really enjoy the experience in the balmy conditions."
