Anniversary of Battle of Britain marked in Downham Market

Dozens of people joined together in Downham on Sunday to mark the 79th anniversary of the Battle of Britain.

Officials from RAF Marham, along with town councillors, members of the public, and representatives from the Downham branch of the Royal Air Force Association, which organised the event, gathered by the war memorial to pay their respects to The Few, of the Second World War.

The commemorations began with a parade, followed by a wreath-laying ceremony at the memorial.
