Thornham village hall hosts exciting art exhibition
A three-day exhibition showcasing works of original art was held in a village over the weekend.
Thornham’s village hall played host to some talented artists and makers, who all live locally, as they created a display of work that reflected their unique and individual styles in a variety of different media.
Exhibits included oil paintings by Alice Wilton, photography by Ian Ward, bespoke jewellery from TJ Adam, lampshades by Cushion Cottage members, lino cuts by Sue Welfare and ceramics by Jane Bygrave.
The exhibition was visited by many people throughout the county from Saturday until Monday, as well as those taking a trip to the coast for a holiday.
Sarah Buck, who was the main organiser of the exhibition, said: “It was a privilege to explore the different disciplines.
“I was ecstatic from how it turned out, the vibe of the exhibition was welcoming. Art is not just a hobby.”
Many students were interested in discovering more about an artist’s style and advice on how they would be able to pursue a similar career in the future.
