A Lynn school is celebrating after receiving a box crammed full of autographed books by television star and children’s author David Walliams.
The Britain’s Got Talent judge sent the books to Howard Junior School after it contacted him via Twitter.
The school was disappointed not to be chosen for a visit by the celebrity as part of his Walliams Whirlwind tour competition for World Book Day, so it decided to use the social network site to ask him personally for a visit.
Unfortunately Mr Walliams was too busy at the time to accept the invitation, but his publishers sent a box of his books to apologise.
Headteacher Gregory Hill said: “Our whole school is thrilled by this and it is a dream come true.
“Our pupils dressed up as their favourite characters to open the box, and some teachers did, too!”
