Friends of Walpole St Andrew Autumn Fayre fundraiser

The Friends of Walpole St Andrew held an Autumn Fayre in the Church of St Andrew and raised more than £400.

There were burgers and bacon rolls on offer with teas, coffees and soft drinks, along with the usual bottle stall and a raffle with donations from the stall holders.

An alternative to apple bobbing where you had to try to catch an apple in your teeth without touching the string was also enjoyed.

Stallholders included Marshland Cider, honey from Walpole Cross Keys, cheese, crochet items, dog treats, Halloween sweets, cakes and wax melts.

A steady stream of visitors made the whole day a warm and welcoming event and the local police beat officers introduced themselves to everyone and spent an hour or so chatting to people.
