Hunstanton businesswoman wins national award
Business owner Tania Stowe, of Hunstanton, who runs the franchised service Barking Mad, has won a national award for her contribution to the community.
Barking Mad Dog Care named Tania their 2018 Brand Builder of the Year at their 15th National Conference.
The service, which provides bespoke holidays for dogs whilst their owners are away, celebrated at the Low Wood Bay Resort in the Lake District, where the North West Norfolk branch beat over 70 others to be top dog.
The event, led by managing director, Lee Dancy, was a thank you for all the hard work from the dog care providers across the UK and marked 18 years of continued success.
She said: “Our 2018 conference has focussed on the theme of ‘Together Towards Tomorrow’ and I believe that Tania operates her business with this vision at the very core of all that she does. Tania is our Brand Builder of the Year 2018 in recognition of the ‘Tea with Tails’ collaboration with Hunstanton Methodist Church, sponsorship of Heacham Minors Under 9s Football Team and strong growth year on year, in only her second year of business.”
Tania said: “I feel enormously proud and privileged to have gained the support and trust of so many people within my local community, entrusting their beloved dogs into our care. The wonderful host families who welcome dogs into their homes are an inspiration. I have been delighted to have had the opportunities to also work with our community through sponsorship of the Heacham U9s Football Team and the ongoing success of Tea with Tails, our initiative to alleviate loneliness.”
