Dance your way over to Sedgeford Village Hall next Friday, October 30, and see the award-winning string quartet Bowjangles with their new show “On the Box”.
Here are four musical comedians who can really play; they dance while they play; they sing while they play; and they leap, tumble, juggle and joke while they play! These talented and engaging musicians take the traditional string quartet performance to a whole new dimension.
After a five-star Edinburgh Fringe Festival debut last year, Bowjangles now present their new show featuring a day in the life of a TV that’s been left switched on.
The audience will be treated to a variety of familiar programmes with exhilarating dance routines and rousing songs. You will meet hilarious characters such as the Despairing Newsreader, the Soap Opera Singers and the Fleet-Footed Strictly Contestants – all simultaneously accompanied by the quartet’s flawless string playing. And their cherished violins, viola and cello serve as tennis rackets, fencing swords or merely accessories to a full Charleston routine.
The show next Friday starts at 7.30pm and tickets are £12 (to include a glass of wine); to book call on 01485 570097 or 579355, or visit www.creativeartseast.co.uk/whats-on
This event is organised in partnership with Creative Arts East with investment from Arts Council England, Norfolk County Council and West Norfolk Council.
