Awards evening marks King's Lynn college students’ achievements
The hard work of students at a Lynn sports college has been recognised at an annual awards evening.
The celebratory event, held at the College of West Anglia Sports campus, saw several pupils awarded for their skills and achievements over the last academic year.
Level three personal training student Georgie Lingham was one such person, who was handed the accolade of sports woman of the year.
Part-time lecturer Shaun McKenna said: “Georgie has great enthusiasm and I wish her all the very best in her future sports career.”
Sports man of the year went to Kale Health, who is studying level three sports science.
“Kale is a dedicated young man who continues to work hard and he has a real chance of making a professional career in the game of golf,” his lecturer Ed Cussons said.
Jake Johnson, who is completing his level three personal training apprenticeship with Heros Fitness in Lynn, won sports apprentice of the year.
Lecturer Julie Lawrence said: “Jake has progressed in leaps and bound. If he continues to build on his experience and confidence, he will have a successful career within the industry.”
The CWA Basketball Academy was recognised as team of the year.
