Reunion held for Gaywood Park High School class of 1980
A 40 year school reunion was held for ex-students of Gaywood Park High School where students and teachers reconnected.
The reunion was two years late due to Covid.
One man, Glen Dettmer travelled from as far as America to renuite with 70 of his school friends.
The class of 1980 gathered at the masonic centre in Lynn to catch up and pay their respects to those who are no longer with us.
The organiser of the event, Debbie Edgely (previously Lennon) how successful the event was:
"It was amazing to see Glen from America and Dympna came from Ireland too."
Using their maiden names, she thanked Jacquie Wigg, Sue Winter, Elizabeth Wright, Jane Wenham and Julie Cracknell who helped set up the reunion.
A year book has also been made with 50 orders already being made, Debbie said you can order one for £30 by emailing elizaferguson@talktalk.net.
A total of £300 profit was made from the reunion and the money will be split between charities Mind and Addenbrookes liver transplant.
Plans for the next reunion after 45 years is already in the making.
