'Backslapping' claims as Norfolk County Council chiefs meet for first time since lockdown
Norfolk County Council chiefs have been accused of "backslapping" as they met for the first time since the coronavirus lockdown began.
Members of the authority's ruling cabinet gathered for a 'virtual' session this morning, in which they outlined the impact of the pandemic on the council’s finances, the county’s economy, children’s service and adult social care, amongst others.
But there was criticism from opposition parties over what they saw as a lack of detailed information and “heavily scripted” discussions.
