Fundraisers were treated to a talk by Baroness Gillian Shephard at Lynn’s Golf Club last Friday, to help raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support at their annual dinner.
Around 70 people enjoyed a “very entertaining and interesting evening giving a very different view on the relationship between the Baroness and Margaret Thatcher”. said chairman Howard Moore.
He added: “Our grateful thanks to the Baroness for such an entertaining speech and to everyone who came along and helped raise £922.50 for Macmillan in Lynn.”
Guests enjoyed a light supper, a raffle and the talk, followed by a chance to pick up autographed copies of the Baroness’ book, The Real Iron Lady.
