Baroness Gillian Shephard of Northwold was a special guest at King’s Lynn Soroptimist 40th Anniversary of the signing of their Charter luncheon.
Forty members and their friends from Friendship Link clubs attended the lunch at the Town Hall. Her invitation was especially fitting in view of her earlier political career when she was the first women to hold the post of Minister of State at the Treasury and the first British women to be appointed as Minister of ‘Women’s Issues’.
