An investigation has been launched following two burglaries in a village near Swaffham, which happened within hours of each other at the weekend.
Detectives believe the incidents in Beachamwell, which both happened on Sunday afternoon, may be connected and have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
Residents have also been warned to be vigilant in the area.
Police say that money and jewellery were stolen in the first incident, which happened at a property in West End, sometime between 2 and 4.10pm on Sunday.
A property in The Street was also targeted between 2 and 5.35pm on Sunday. It is unclear exactly what was stolen.
However, a Norfolk Police spokesman said: “The burglaries are currently being treated as linked.”
Officers have also urged householders to be vigilant against would-be raiders and ensure their properties are kept secure.
Anyone with information about either raid, or who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area at around the times of the incidents, is asked to contact Temporary Detective Constable James Morgan, of Thetford CID, via the non-emergency 101 number.
Information can also be supplied by calling Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
