Better late than never for Terrington St Clements prommers
The pandemic has trampled on the plans of millions of people but students at St Clement High School were determined that it was not going to rob them of one rite of passage, their prom.
So students of the class of 2020 arrived in style to their prom in Terrington St Clement at the weekend.
Friends and family all turned out to take photos with their stylishly dressed young people, proudly looking on as they celebrated their prom.
Arriving in the usual array of stylish cars such as a yellow mini, white sports car and a variety of vintage vehicles, the prom was something they have been looking forward to.
Organisers Ellie Marshall, Maxine Bearman and Madalyn Johnstone looked smart in their prom dresses.
Students were able to enjoy a red carpet moment and younger siblings and friends were pleased as punch to be in the photos with them.
A variety of gowns and smart suits stole the show as the young students begin their next chapter.
Ellie said: "A group of us all decided we wanted to give our class our last goodbye. We felt forgotten about as we left he year of Covid.
"We just like wanted to get out last goodbye so we all got together.
The event took place from 2.30pm until 6pm using the grounds of the school and the village hall.
Ellie said: "We had a big photo booth and board to have pictures against and a chocolate fountain.
"We want to say thank you to the business that supported us.
"The chair covers were from Balloons Party Hire, the photo booth was from Woodward's Confection and the sweets and drinks were provided by H2O Vend.
"Also thanks to the Mums and Dads who helped us set up in the morning."
