Organisers of the third annual Showcase Day to be held in Fakenham next month are hoping for a bigger and better celebration of sporting and cultural activities in the town.
Building on the experience of the past two years, Active Fakenham has invited dozens of sports clubs, businesses and other organisations to take part in what has always been a fun and affordable jamboree.
Event co-ordinator Richard Crook said: “The aim once again is to bring social and economic benefits to the town through ‘well-being’ themed activities.
“Most of them are tasters for what is available locally throughout the year with the vast majority being free or low cost.
“There will be plenty of join-in activities for all ages and abilities, lots of stalls, live music and an emphasis on having a good time.”
The event takes place on Saturday, May 2, from 10am to 1pm when the town centre will be closed to traffic.
Teams will again compete for the Brenda Coldrick Memorial Cup in the Shopkeepers Olympics tournament.
The competition was won in its inaugural year by the Oak Street team who are keen to retain their title.
Have-a-go activities will include rugby, soccer, golf, table tennis, Zumba, boxercise, line dancing, netball, hockey and dodge ball.
