The Bishop of Lynn, the Right Reverend Jonathan Meyrick, visited Ashwicken Primary School to bless the new school building.

The new school took a year to build and was completed this September.

It has fantastic new facilities for the 124 children and includes a spacious hall, well-equipped library, three new classrooms, cloakrooms and admin areas.

The outside area is still being finished and the children are looking forward to playing on their renovated school playing field next term.

The Bishop toured the new building, conducted an assembly and then everyone went outside for the blessing.

He then met with the school council for a chat about his role and stayed for lunch with everyone.
