Blaze wrecks Runcton Holme bungalow

Dozens of firefighters have been tackling a house fire in a West Norfolk village today.

Crews from across the area were sent to School Road in Runcton Holme after a blaze at a bungalow was reported at around 11.50am today.

The Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service said three units from Lynn, plus others from Downham, Swaffham, Sandringham, Heacham and Wisbech attended the incident.

The blaze was reported to have been extinguished at around 2.20pm this afternoon.

It is understood that paramedics were also sent to the scene, though the East of England Ambulance Service said its crews were stood down before they reached the scene.
