Parking rules in Swaffham need to be clarified after a blood donation van was ticketed during a public session, town councillors have heard this week.
The incident happened in a space outside the Assembly Rooms on Wednesday, where the session was taking place.
And the issue was reported to town councillors at their monthly meeting, which was held that evening in the town hall.
Town clerk Richard Bishop said the Iceni Partnership, which runs the Assembly Rooms, had questioned the validity of the fine, as there was no suitable space for the service’s vehicles to park nearby.
The meeting was also told of two similar parking tickets in the same location in the town centre, one of which had been upheld while the other was overturned.
Different pieces of legislation had been used to justify the different decisions, councillors heard,
And Mr Bishop added: “There are things that we need to sort out.”
