Strattons Hotel in Swaffham wins 2021 Good Hotel Guide award
Strattons Hotel in Swaffham has received news of a prestigious award which coincides with the family-run business celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.
This week it was announced that it has been awarded the 2021 Good Hotel Guide Editor’s Romantic Choice award.
Strattons owner Vanessa Scott said: ‘We are delighted to have been honoured in this way, especially as we celebrate 30 years of business. Since opening in 1990 we have stuck to our principals of providing quality, without sacrifice to the environment, and creating a special and unique environment where we hope guests can relax and be happy."
The Good Hotel Guide is the leading independent guide to hotels in Great Britain and Ireland. It is written for the reader seeking impartial advice on finding a good place to stay.
Hotels cannot buy their entry as can happen in most rival guides. No money changes hands, and the editors and inspectors do not accept free hospitality on their anonymous visits to hotels. Adam and Caroline Raphael, who own the GHG, are both award-winning journalists.
Strattons boutique hotel has long been associated as a peaceful and romantic destination, where guests can relax and enjoy comfortable surroundings with an award winning restaurant, café deli and on-site Interiors shop.
The hotel has been awarded for its 14 individual, eclectic bedrooms and suites where guests can expect a carved four-poster bed, an open fire, a freestanding bath at the foot of the bed with a room for two, a Moroccan style tented ceiling, a mermaid mosaic and antiques and art. A private decked balcony or a cinema screen are also available for visitors.
