Boy, 6, and mother rescued from mud by Lifeboat unit

A mother and son were rescued yesterday after getting stuck in mud on the West Norfolk coast.

Lifeboat officials say the six-year-old boy was trapped up to his waist after getting into difficulty on Thornham Marshes.

The Hunstanton station's hovercraft was launched shortly after 2pm on Thursday, following a request from Coastguard teams.
