The sentencing of a senior Queen Elizabeth Hospital executive has been delayed as he is seriously ill in hospital.
Karl Perryman had been scheduled to be sentenced today following his conviction on charges of stalking and witness intimidation last month.
But the case has not been listed to be heard and Norwich Crown Court officials say they have been told he is in hospital and unable to attend.
He is described as being “seriously ill” and in intensive care.
It is understood that Perryman’s legal team made an application to the court for the hearing to be adjourned. No new date has yet been set.
A hospital spokesman said they were unable to comment on the situation because of “patient confidentiality.”
