Seven more teenagers have been arrested in connection with a spate of assaults and robberies in Lynn, police have announced this morning, Thursday, November 20.

The six boys and one girl, who are aged between 14 and 17, were all detained last night and are currently being held at Lynn’s police station for questioning.

The arrests relate to two assaults, a robbery and two attempted robberies which happened in and around The Walks on Saturday night, between 9pm and shortly after midnight.

An eighth youth, a 15-year-old boy, is currently on bail after he was arrested earlier this week.

Meanwhile, reducing crime and anti-social behaviour around The Walks, as well as Kettlewell Lane and Loke Road, will be an ongoing policing priority following a meeting of the area’s Safer Neighbourhood Action Panel (SNAP) on Tuesday night.

Police patrols have also been increased in the area.

Chf Insp Dave Buckley, who heads policing in Lynn, said: “Recent events have naturally increased public concern and we are committed to working both with our partners and the community to identify and deal with offenders and keep people safe.”
