Simon Parkin, general manager of the Jolly Sailors, said: “Brancaster Wraith is one of our seasonal guest ales.

“You can buy a pint of this delicious guest ale here at The Jolly Sailors, also available at all other ACI (Anglian Country Inns pubs) establishments in Norfolk.”

Brancaster Brewery is a five-barrel brewery which produces small batches of real ale using local ingredients.

Ales are brewed with Teddy Maufe's “world-class” malted Maris Otter barley grown at Branthill Farm, Wells-next-the-Sea.

In 1797, a malthouse was built in Brancaster Staithe opposite the Jolly Sailors. it was the county’s largest malthouse at the time due to being in a prime location for barley growing.

While the Malthouse no longer stands, Brancaster Brewery is keeping a brewing tradition alive.
