Terrington St Clement school association hosts fundraiser at Collison Cut Flowers

A school association hosted a brightly-coloured event to raise money for a good cause.

On Saturday, 47 people attended Collison Cut Flowers in St Clement for a ‘tulip tour and tea’ while getting the opportunity to have a tour of the glasshouse.

People who attended also got to learn about the production from bulb at the florist to cut flower in the supermarket and how the process only takes two weeks.

They also learnt that it produces 34million cut flowers in a year.

While at the event, attendees enjoyed cake made by volunteers - and most made bouquets of flowers to take home with them.

By the end of the event, they raised more than £300 for the village primary school, with the event hosted by the Friends of the School Association.

The group tends to organise several fundraising opportunities as it is run by parents and friends of pupils.

They are committed to raising money so they can support facilities and resources at the school.

They raise vital funds as well as making sure the events they host are enjoyable for all - and everyone willing can get involved.
