Partridge & Peony florists at East Rudham sees business blossom after launching
Business has literally blossomed within weeks for a florist who opened her shop at East Rudham last year.
Bronwen Lutz, of Houghton, launched Partridge & Peony at The Green on November 1 and soon found orders rolling in for Christmas wreaths.
Since then she has also arranged flowers for funerals, held consultations for weddings later this year and held one workshop with plans for more.
Last week the orders flowed in for Valentine's Day bouquets. She said: "I am delighted with how well the business has developed so far. I had dozens of orders for Valentine's Day, the first for my new business."
She lives with her partner, Danny Mallett, who is a trainee gamekeeper on the Houghton estate and the name of her business is a nod to both of their professions.
Bronwen studied floristry at Easton and Otley College, and after two years qualified with a Btec Level 3 diploma with double distinctions.
She saw the shop premises, next door to Jane's Coffee Corner, fell in love with it and within a couple of weeks had the key.
"I completed 75 wreaths for Christmas, an eight-foot garland and sold several British-grown firs which had been potted up.
"The workshop was privately booked and I worked with two ladies to create table candle arrangements. I have got more planned now."
She will be holding sessions for hand-tied arrangements for Mother's Day on March 18, at 5pm and another on Friday, March 20, at 3pm.
Further workshops for Easter wreath-making and planting terrariums are also in the pipeline.
Bronwen can also provide local deliveries, including to Lynn.
