The launch of a new delivery-from-store service at Lynn’s Argos store at Hardwick has created new roles ready to be filled immediately.
The retailer is looking to take on 18 people as customer service drivers. Working with the store team, the roles involve driving and delivering items to other stores as well as to customers’ homes in the area.
The permanent full time and part time contracts of between 16 to 30 hours are available working around daily schedules of 7am-1pm, 2pm-6pm and 7pm-10pm. Argos said that the jobs would suit people looking for flexible working, including busy mums, retired or ex-service people.
Successful applicants will receive on the job training and development and gain new skills through the retailer’s Open Door system.
Applicants need to have a clean driving licence and good sense of direction.
Gavin Meadows, regional general manager at Argos said: “We are looking for drivers with a difference – people who not only love being out and about in their community, but who are good communicators and passionate about providing great customer service to ensure we can deliver a brilliant service that we are known for, store to door.”
