Potential apprentices are keen to take up positions in the Lynn area, according to a business-led training provider which recently had numerous responses for a vacancy with Freebridge Housing.
Swarm Apprentices, which is based in Wymondham, finds and trains apprentices and also develops existing employees throughout Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex. Its head of operations, Lucy Martin advertised an apprentice vacancy at Freebridge and was deluged with applicants.
She said: “We quickly filled the vacancy and now have more than 20 eager young people wishing to become enterprise apprentices in Lynn.”
Swarm’s managing director Chris Perry said: “At the core of the qualification is a work-related project which enables them to actually calculate the return on investment they deliver their employer.”
To employ a Swarm apprentice you need to commit to offer at least 30 hours paid work a week and be willing to agree to give your apprentice a business development project to work on through the 15-month course.
