On Friday, October 16, Pro-Active Care Support will be holding its inaugural meeting at Reffley Hall, Gaywood, for people to enjoy friendship and activities.

In addition the group will be holding a care advisory bureau where people will be able to meet an advisor for guidance on issues they may have.

The meeting takes place from 1.30pm to 4.30pm.

Pro-Active Care Support, was set up by the proprietor of West Lynn craft shop Sprinkle Twinkle, Natalie Pilgrim. She had the idea for the support group after talking to customers at the shop on East Coast Business Park, which she opened in June 2014.

She said: “The most regular conversations were based around needing help, care or support for themselves or their loved ones.”

Pro-Active Care Support is designed to take away the pressure from families and those who are alone but need care. The service offers people a telephone call for up to three times a day to speak to people who may be lonely or vulnerable and offers guidance on matters such as how to get the right benefits and fill out forms.

The service will also offer home help with activities such as cleaning, medication prompting, shopping,
