Characters from Beano joined families at Freebridge Farm Brewers Fayre pub restaurant in West Lynn to launch a new play area based on the popular comic.
Face-painting and crafts were on offer while life-sized versions of Dennis the Menace and Gnasher were also meeting and greeting visitors.
Brewers Fayre has a partnership with Beano which is reflected in the new play facility and also the children’s menu, which includes a Menace Burger and Spaghetti Beano-ese.
The play area has a toddler zone and an adventure tree house play area and a new family dining area has been created. There is also a party room, The Den, created for children’s birthday parties.
Clinton Jolly, general manager of Freebridge Farm Brewers Fayre added: “We’re incredibly pleased to have launched our new play area and we’re looking forward to welcoming more families through our doors to enjoy the new facilities.”
Donna Canham (34), from Marham, who attended the event on Sunday with children Harry Canham (6), Jessica Canham (5), Charlie Canham (3) and family friend Mia King (4) said: “It’s great to have a new play facility close to home and my kids had a great time meeting Dennis and playing with their friends.”
Play At Brewers Fayre is open Sunday to Thursday 9.30am-8pm, and Fridays and Saturdays 9.30am-9pm. It costs £3 for 90 minutes of play.
