Norfolk Chamber of Commerce is offering the region’s top buyer the chance to source local quality suppliers by taking part in its Meet the Buyer event in March.
Now in its fifth year, there are spaces for 70 buyers to meet suppliers from the area. Buyers can choose which categories they are interested in. Specialist software allows suppliers to book ten-minute one-to-one appointments with buyers who are actively seeking their products and services.
The event is free to buyers and takes place on Thursday, March 19. From January 27, suppliers will be able to register with buyers and will have a time advantage if they register for the event in advance on this date.
The 2014 event had more than 60 buyers meeting around 250 suppliers at Norwich City Football Club and this year at least 70 buyers from the education, public and private sectors are expected to take part.
The Chamber’s chief executive Caroline Williams said: “Supporting a strong supply chain is essential to assist the Norfolk economy to grow and this event will give Norfolk and Suffolk’s leading organisations the opportunity to be seen to be ‘open for business’ within their local community and more importantly to find new suppliers.
“Each company will be highlighted as taking part through our social media and marketing channels to ensure their target supply chain is reached. We have taken away the gatekeepers so encourage businesses of all sizes to register for this event.”
Dominic Purslow, principal of Fakenham-based logistics firm Jack Richards and Sons, attended last year and praised the event. He said: It’s good old-fashioned face-to-face business in a smart well-organised modern format.”
Buyers wishing to take part should contact Philippa Bindley at the Norfolk Chamber on 01603 729703.
