Apprentice at The Running Horse in Fakenham, Harley Dawson, is off to the House of Commons next week to meet MPs and talk about his experience of working in the pub trade.

He is joining more than 100 other apprentices on Tuesday who are set to showcase the pub, bar, brewing and casual dining sectors and the huge range of opportunities that the industry offers in training and developing young people.

Harley, representing Marston’s pubs across the country, will talk about his career and skills learnt in day-to-day apprentice roles.

Peter Dalzell, managing director of Marston’s Inns & Taverns, who operate the Running Horse, said: “Harley is a fantastic example of the many apprentices we employ across the company. Our apprenticeship programme offers a stepping stone onto our career pathways opening up a raft of opportunities in worthwhile and rewarding roles.”
