A fitness studio which opened less than a year ago at East Rudham is proving so popular that its proprietor has taken on an apprentice to assist with its development.
Last August Sam Ely launched his business Results Aimed Workouts (RAW), based at Unit 7, Coxford Abbey Farm and has seen a steady rise in the number of clients.
Due to the increase in customers Sam decided to offer an apprenticeship opportunity to Zygimantas “Ziggy” Klevinskis, 20, from Lynn, who is now studying for a Level 3 in Personal Training.
Said Sam: “With more members joining, I was having to deliver more and more sessions, and there was more business administration to do. Now Ziggy has joined, he is able to carry out some of the admin, such as answering the phone, booking appointments and designing programmes for personal training.
“He is qualified as a gym instructor and is able to deliver set programmes to clients, which I can supervise.”
Sam met Ziggy, who used to be a player for basketball team King’s Lynn Fury, at Lynn’s College of West Anglia, where Ziggy also played for the college team.
Said Ziggy: “Having this apprenticeship means so much to me. I have played basketball since I was six years old and used to play in Lithuania. I still play now, but just as a hobby. It’s great to be working with Sam who gives me a lot of support and guidance.”
Sam said that his business grew particularly after January when his clients’ increased fithness levels inspired their friends to join RAW too. RAW can be contacted on 01485 528892.
